About
MY BACKGROUND
At the age of 12, I was inspired to progress further into the world of journalism when I became involved in the BBC School News Report. Placed in front of a camera as the main anchor woman, knowing that numerous people were watching via webcam immediately gave me a buzz of excitement and the thirst to develop my communication skills - 9 years on, I have completed my dream degree at the University of Salford - with a First Class Honours in Broadcast Journalism. From reporting on local stories for Salford Now to interviewing celebrities, the skills I have gained throughout my course have inspired me to work towards industry-standard journalism. Over the last year, I have been lucky enough to have work alongside professionals at the likes of ITV Granada Reports, Cruise TV, Northern Soul, the North East Times and the News Guardian. As I work towards a future career in the news industry, feel free to explore my site for examples of my TV, radio, print and online journalism.
