MY EXPERIENCE IN THE INDUSTRY SO FAR
Throughout my studies, I have worked alongside professionals in the presenting, news and journalism industries. From writing newspaper articles for the News Guardian to shadowing technical staff and reporters at ITV Granada Reports, I have gained a lot of valuable experience that will help me to progress further into the industry.

NOVEMBER 2018 - PRESENT
As a freelance journalist, I have written articles for the North Tyneside News Guardian newspaper. This is Whitley Bay's local newspaper and most of the stories I have written focus on the local community - whether this be events, appeals or other important news. It has been great experience interviewing passionate community members and writing to a house style. Below are just a few of the articles that were published:
Your MCR
SEPTEMBER 2019 - PRESENT
Your Manchester is a Youtube channel that specifically focuses on events and people in Manchester. Since working alongside the Your MCR team, my technical skills have massively progressed. As a floor manager and camerawoman for the show, I feel competent using cameras and directing my team. As well as this, I have had the opportunity to create TV packages, review shows and carry out interviews with stars. You can see some of the packages I have created and interviews I have carried out below:
Northern Soul
JUNE 2019 - PRESENT
I have always loved documenting my life through pictures - so when the opportunity arose to write for the review website, Northern Soul, I jumped at the offer. I have been lucky enough to review some of the biggest music festivals in the North East including Hardwick Live and the Mouth of the Tyne Festival. As well as music events, I have been invited to the launch of many events including the opening of ice rinks, bars and restaurants. I use Instagram and Twitter to promote these events, using hashtags and photos to reach larger audiences.
